Secured by steel cables, sturdy ladders and iron handholds bolted into the rock, you ascend the mountain face with the sea roaring beneath your feet. Your guide sets the pace and ensures everyone feels safe, so you can focus on the breathtaking panorama unfolding around you. Choose between two routes – the accessible Vikingveggen or the demanding Sølvskatten with its dramatic overhang finish.

All via ferrata trips at Rampen are carried out with an experienced guide who has solid climbing expertise. We adapt the pace to the group so that everyone can take in the surroundings and enjoy the experience safely. All climbing at Rampen must be done together with a guide.

You will be connected to a steel safety cable throughout the entire climb. Our equipment is certified for use by persons between 40 and 120 kg. Small children and pregnant women cannot participate.

Who can do via ferrata?

Most people who want to can join. Our equipment is approved for persons between 40 and 120 kg. Small children and pregnant women cannot participate.

Do I need climbing experience?

No. Our guides give thorough instruction and are with you every step of the way. Vikingveggen is designed for beginners.

Can I climb without a guide?

No. All climbing at Rampen must be done together with one of our guides.

What should I wear?

Weather-appropriate clothing and shoes with good grip. We provide all safety equipment. Bring a snack and water bottle.

How many can climb together?

Max 6 people per guide. For larger groups we bring additional guides. We need at least 2 participants to run the trip.

Where do I meet up?

From Midnattssolveien (county road 834), park at the gravel lot at Bratten Activity Park. Meeting point is the brown house with Rampen signs.
