All climbers are connected to a steel safety cable throughout. Our experienced guides ensure safe progression. However, this route demands physical fitness and comfort with exposure.

Equipment is certified for persons between 40 and 120 kg. This route is not recommended for anyone with a fear of heights or limited climbing experience.

About the area

Sølvskatten climbs above Landegofjorden, with wide-open views towards Landegode, the surrounding islands and the Norwegian Sea. The combination of exposed rock, sea and mountains gives the route a dramatic coastal setting just outside Bodø.

The experience takes approximately 2 hours from start to finish, including preparation, climbing and the return. Along the way, you move across exposed sections of the mountain with the fjord directly below – a spectacular setting for one of Rampen's more challenging via ferrata routes.

Sølvskatten is perfect for experienced groups looking for a real challenge. Max 6 people per guide.

What experience do I need for Sølvskatten?
You must have completed at least one via ferrata before. We verify this at the meeting point before departure.
How hard is the overhang section?
The overhang requires pulling yourself upward using iron handholds while hanging over exposed rock. It demands upper body strength and mental composure. You are secured at all times.
Can I do Sølvskatten as my first Via Ferrata?
No. We strongly recommend Vikingveggen as your first experience. Sølvskatten is reserved for climbers with prior experience.
